HOWIE KLAUSNER has been writing screenplays, playing music and coaching high school football for over twenty years.
His most recognized credit as a writer is the Clint Eastwood film, SPACE COWBOYS (Warner Brothers, 2000), which Klausner co-authored with Ken Kaufman. While working with Mr. Eastwood, he wrote the TNT documentary, DIRTY HARRY, AN ORIGINAL. In 2005, Klausner penned the biography of Apollo Astronaut Pete Conrad, ROCKETMAN, (Penguin Books 2005).
As a singer-songwriter, Klausner and Outlaw Dreams’ award-winning- sound editor Ron Eng have played the coffeehouse-barroom-wedding circuit for fifteen years. Their first album, MEET THE MOVIES, was released in 2005. Selected songs appear as part of the Outlaw Dreams soundtrack.
A lifelong lover of football, Howie has coached at the high school level in Colorado, Southern California, and Washington State. He’s taken a two-year hiatus to produce this film.
Howie lives in Franklin Tennessee, with his wife and three daughters.
